- Let your children know that Internet predators exist
- Do not let your children post personal information on social networking or Blogs-Predators have patience and will take their time to gather information that they need to kidnap your children
- Make an agreement about what they are allowed to post on the Internet. Set the ground rules by creating an Internet Safety Plan together
- Have an open door policy so your children know they can talk to you
- Always stress that they should never meet anyone in person that they met on the Internet
